JBT had had previous septoplasty surgery and was keen on cosmetic rhinoplasty to correct a broad and irregular nasal dorsal, and refinement to the nasal tip. In addition to the above surgery, she also required a small cartilage spreader graft to support the left middle third due to weakness, which was fashioned to cause the least possible effect on widening this part of the nose.
